• First appearance at ILSA in 1958

• Junior High and High School: Liceul nr. 3 (Eftimie Murgu) (1960-1967)

• Joined Lovas Peter's swim team in 1960

• Best results as a swimmer:

  - Romanian National Champion, 4 x 200 meter freestyle relay, Bucharest, 1967 (with Sandu Deac, Rolik Feri, and Rolik Karcsi)

  - Second place, 1500 meter freestyle, Campionatul National de Juniori, Bucharest, 1968

  - Third place, 200 meter butterfly, Campionatul National de Juniori, Bucharest, 1968

  - Finalist, 1500 meter freestyle, Campionatul National de Seniori, Bucharest, 1967

• Water polo player under Norman Zoli and Adalbert Stanescu (mid 1960's through early 1970's)

• Played in the final tournament of the Romanian Water Polo Championship (Juniori), Bucharest, 1968

• Graduate of Institutul Politehnic Timisoara (1972)

• Married since 1971 to Rodica (née Lozneanu)

• First son, Daniel, born in Timisoara in 1974

• Resumed swimming in 1976 (under Sala Codruta)

• Emigrated to Israel in 1976

• Played one season for Hapoel Tel Aviv's water polo team, under coach Iosim Octavian (Yotza) (1976-1977)

• Settled in California, USA, in 1979 (after spending some time in Athens, Greece)
